Activities

activity1

Generations at Neighbors offers activities that are stimulating and enriching to the lives of our residents. The activities promote structuring of leisure time and provide opportunities of choice, so that the residents have control of their daily lives.

From sing-a-longs to bingo, video games to movies, Generations at Neighbors provides residents with their favorite activities while introducing advanced means of stimulating their minds and bodies. Daily activities take place from 9:00am to 5:30pm. Schedules are posted in common areas, dining rooms, and in every resident’s room. Activities can include:

  • Maintenance Activities: Activities that maintain the resident’s skills, both cognitive and physical.
  • Empowerment Activities: Activities that offer opportunities for volunteering at Generations and in the community.
  • Supportive Activities: Activities that lend support to those residents that may have diminished skills and need adaptive programs, or 1:1 programs to meet their needs.

Throughout the year, there are a number of social activities including cooking classes, live entertainers, or arts and crafts. Residents have also started some of their own special groups that meet weekly.

You may find our residents at community outings such as the garden and flower show or other local community events.

Many residents enjoy outings to local restaurants, movies, music concerts, theater performances, and more. During special seasons of the years, groups will go see holiday lights, decorations, parades, and more.

Generations at Neighbors has hosted many special events throughout the years. We also have many special guests and entertainers who perform for us on a regular basis. Our holiday events and birthday parties are in no way ordinary – we make every special event an occasion that won’t be forgotten!

We give our residents the opportunity to lead a very full and happy life here at Generations at Neighbors. We believe everyone should always enjoy life and have fun!
