Wound Care

Generations at Neighbors offers an innovative, interdisciplinary approach to treat and heal chronic wounds.

What is Wound Care?

A chronic wound is one which heals very slowly, not at all, or is recurrent in nature. Non-healing wounds may be caused by a variety of different medical conditions that can delay or impede the healing process.

Types of slow- or non-healing wounds include:

  • Surgical wounds
  • Pressure ulcers (bedsores)
  • Diabetic ulcers
  • Venous/statis ulcers
  • Traumatic wounds
  • Arterial ulcers
  • Wound flaps
  • Ischemic ulcers
  • Amputations
  • Burns

Who Should Participate in Wound Care?

Anyone with a persistent wound. Chronic and non-healing wounds can result from a number of factors such as diabetes, poor circulation, trauma, vascular disease, and immobility.

Why Choose Generations at Neighbors for Wound Care?
