Restorative Care

restorative

Generations at Neighbors offers restorative nursing care for patients and residents that need help restoring, stabilizing, or improving their level of functioning.

What is Restorative Care?

A person of any age who suffers serious illness or injury may require rehabilitation and/or restorative care. For instance, therapists in rehabilitation work to help people regain physical function using a medical model. Restorative care is part of an ongoing nursing model, and often follows rehabilitation. Licensed and paraprofessional staff members provide restorative care to preserve a person’s optimum level of functioning and independence.

Who Should Participate in Restorative Care?

A patient that needs to restore, stabilize, or improve their level of independence so that they can achieve their highest practicable level of functioning. This may occur for a patient currently in rehabilitation, or once discharged from the rehabilitation therapy program. A patient may also find themselves needing restorative care if admitted to the healthcare facility, but not eligible for skilled therapy.

Why Choose Generations at Neighbors for Restorative Care?

Generations at Neighbors offers comprehensive restorative care. Our highly trained, professional staff provide an individualized care plan that promotes a return to independence. Our program is provided by an experienced staff that focuses on individualized needs as directed by each resident’s primary physician.
