Generations at Neighbors has been a staple of healthcare in the Byron community for years. In an effort to continue our passion for being a leading provider in healthcare Generations at Neighbors has partnered with Byron Community High School to create a shared learning environment.
The relationship between Generations at Neighbors and Byron High School has taken our community engagement to the next level. High School Juniors and Seniors are able to enroll for a year long program to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. The program is a dual credit program between Byron Community High School and Rock Valley Community College. This provides students a head start in pursing a career in healthcare.
The program is run by Rachel Rankin, BSN RN, at both the high school and at the Generations location. In addition to classroom education, students complete 40 hours of hands on training at Generations at Neighbors under the supervision of their instructor and the Generations team.
Generations at Neighbors is honored to be a part of this program and the positive impact it has for all involved. This collaboration provides the community of Byron with a stronger future for their healthcare needs.
We are beyond thankful to have the opportunity to work with our future generation caretakers, being able to guide our youth and help them discover their love for healthcare in collaboration with the Bryon High School CNA Program is the legacy and impact we wish to have on our community and in healthcare as whole.
